Get to know everything about Appel, from basic controls to advanced gameplay mechanics
Appel is a platformer game where players jump, stick to walls, and navigate through levels to collect golden apples and reach the end.
Appel was created by Griffpatch, a well-known Scratch developer who also made games like Paper Minecraft and Geometry Dash.
Use WASD or arrow keys to move and jump. Press S or the down arrow key to crouch, and hold the up arrow key for higher jumps.
When jumping toward a wall, hold the left or right direction key to stick to it. You can then jump off the wall or stick to ceilings by holding the up arrow key.
Each level contains golden apples to collect, as well as a hidden giant red apple in every stage.
The game includes wall-jumping, crouching to pass through tight spaces, collecting apples, and avoiding spikes and other hazards.
There are 9 levels in total, each featuring unique platform designs, apple placements, and sometimes different color schemes.
Hold the up arrow key for a higher jump. You can also perform wall jumps by pressing up while sticking to a wall.
Jumping on enemies' heads is an effective way to eliminate them while avoiding damage.
The game includes half-height blocks, rotating tiles, eye-like decorations that follow players, and various traps and obstacles.
